About Telem

Founded by secular pioneers in 1983, the community of Telem is a small, isolated community located just north of the ancient Biblical city of Hebron. Immediately following a tragic terrorist attack in 2002 that occurred in the neighboring community of Adora, Telem faced stagnation and near abandonment. However, Telem experienced a remarkable revival when a group of religious pioneering families joined the community several years later, revitalizing its spirit and atmosphere. Today, Telem is home to a community comprising both secular and religious Jews all of whom live and work together to safeguard and develop their corner of the Biblical Heartland. Surrounded by hostile Arab villages, the people of Telem continue to remain steadfast in their determination to secure their ancestral land.
