Sukkot 2025
You can wish a family in Samaria “Chag Sameach” (Happy Holiday) during Sukkot!
Starting on the evening of October 6th, the People of Israel will observe the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), a Biblical holiday in which we are commanded to leave the comfort of our regular homes for seven days and move into sukkot, or temporary booths. In doing so, we remind ourselves that God sustained our ancestors in the desert for 40 years as they dwelled under the Heavenly canopy of the Clouds of Glory. We also joyfully affirm that God continues to watch over us from above, providing for us with everything we need.
Sadly, many families in the Biblical Heartland are struggling to put food on their tables. Impoverished with no way to make ends meet, their children cry every night going to bed hungry. Moreover, the financial pressures and hardships faced by these poor families have spiraled upwards due to the inevitable and consequential economic pressures of the war following the October 7th attacks. For these families, preparing for Sukkot and observing the holiday with joy and happiness is an extraordinary challenge. But you can help!
