Community at a Glance: Bat Ayin

This is the series you have been waiting for – the chance to visit communities in Judea and Samaria, from the comfort of your home, and catch a glimpse of life in each and every community.

What do you get when you mix an eclectic group of deeply spiritual pioneers, the desire to work the holy soil of Israel and creativity? The answer is Bat Ayin.   The rural setting of Bat Ayin, with its panoramic vistas and rugged Judean Hills just outside Gush Etzion, provides a peaceful reprieve from the hustle and bustle of city life. The serene natural surrounding is the ideal atmosphere for the spiritual center that is Bat Ayin.

Life in Bat Ayin is grounded in the service of God, Bible studies and creativity. Residents, united in their search for deep spiritual connections, in every aspect of everyday lives, have created a community where Bible study is at its core, and residents express their spiritual devotion through the arts, with many residents working as musicians, artists, Torah Scribes, farmers, and scholars.

An Eye on Zion: Bet Hagai

On Friday evening of May 2, 1980, a group of students from Nir Yeshiva, located on the outskirts of the Biblical city of Hebron, excitedly headed to the Cave of Machpelah. There, they joyfully welcomed in the Sabbath with uplifting prayers.
