About Havot Yair

When the first pioneers of Havot Yair arrived in 2001, they found the place to be a barren hilltop overlooking the Kana Brook, the original Biblical boundary between the tribal territories of Manasseh and Ephraim. It was the height of the Second Intifada. and terror attacks were rampant everywhere throughout Israel and the Biblical Heartland. Yet, the pioneers, mostly single young men and several families, refused to be discouraged. They brought mobile homes, a generator, tanks full of water, and most importantly, a deep determination to settle the land. Several decades later, Havot Yair is a vibrant community boasting over 120 families and only growing upwards and onwards!
